PALÁCIO DE RIO FRIO - PINHAL NOVO, PALMELA

Palácio de Rio Frio was built at the beginning of the 20th century, close to Montijo. At the time it was one of the biggest estates in the country mainly producing wine.

The house is decorated with fabulous tiles, depicting rural communities at work, in particular the wine harvest. In the main lounge the walls are completely covered with colourful tiles typical of the Ribatejo Region. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and a small wood creating a peaceful atmosphere and providing an hospitable stay.

Between Montijo and Alcochete, not very far from the Tagus River, guests may enjoy a variety of activities in permanent contact with nature, such as bird-watching, horse riding or just a leisurely stroll along wonderful paths.
