TURIHAB is delighted to invite you into - Solares de Portugal - our splendid homes which range from stately manor houses and elegant country houses, to farm houses and rustic cottages, each with its own individual character. They are family homes as opposed to hotels, offering a very different kind of holiday experience with that personal touch.
Just two decades ago many of these houses were facing decay, but with government support they have been painstakingly restored to their former glory and have now opened their doors to receive guests. They have since been individually inspected to ensure the highest standards of quality and hospitality. Many Solares de Portugal have played host to the same family for hundreds of years and often date back to the 16th and 17th Centuries. Embracing Portugal's finest antiques, fine art and furniture, they represent Centuries of Portuguese history and culture.
On arrival at your chosen home you will be greeted by a warm welcome from your host family. Owners eagerly share their inside knowledge about local places of interest to visit, festivals, local gastronomy and traditions. Guests at Solares de Portugal houses will find a range of leisure opportunities at their disposal, such as fishing, hunting, golf, swimming, rambling, tennis, horseback riding, cycling and wine tasting. All our houses have been arranged into three distinct groups: "Casas Antigas", "Quintas & Herdades" and "Casas Rústicas", according to their stateliness, dimensions, spaces and gardens, as well as decorations and historic furnishings.
- Reservation Procedure:
Reservations are to be made directly to CENTER, look at Terms and Conditions, by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org, fax +351 258 931 320 or Phone +351 258 741 444. CENTER will then do its utmost to confirm each reservation or to offer alternatives. Reservations can be distributed throughout the different regions, within the houses mentioned previously.
The minimum of stay is 2 nights in each house rented by room.
The minimum of stay is 4 nights in each house rented in self-catering.
- Conditions of Payment:
The total payment is required at the time of the reservation. Payment can be made by bank transfer, Visa, MasterCard and American Express Card.
- Cancellation Fees (houses rented by room):
30 days before expected arrival: no Payment
From 29 days to 8th day of expected arrival: 50% from the total amount
From 7 days to day of expected arrival: full payment
- Cancellation Fees (houses rented in self-catering):
60 days before expected arrival: no Payment
From 59 days to 30th day of expected arrival: 50% from the total amount
From 29 days to day of expected arrival: full payment
Prices are in Euros and are per double/twin and per night. Prices include breakfast and private bathroom. Extra Beds only for children up to 12 years of age. No charge will be made for cots for infants.
Time of Arrival:
Clients may arrive on any day of the week.

Guests should leave their rooms before midday, and do the check-in between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. If the guest requests check-in after 7 p.m. CENTER should be informed in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dinner is available at several houses at an extra cost. Those requiring an evening meal should give plenty of notice to their host. The breakfast service is included in price, whether it's accommodation in the main house, in apartments, attachments or dependencies.
The swimming pools available in several houses are open air and don’t have heated water. If the weather conditions allow it, they are available from 1st of May until 1st of October.
All apartments provide the necessary utensils and equipment for preparing meals on a small scale. Provision of breakfast linen and towels is also included.
