HISTORY

The "Casa de Sequiade", was the main house of the old Farm of Lata, property of great importance and proportions in Sequiade. It can be found in the village of Piedade-Sequiade, municipality of Barcelos. Its constrution goes back to the year of 1748.

The current owners started its reconstruction in 1996, keeping the typical and peculiar features that identify it with the Minhota region where it is placed. During restoration, the owners also had to consider the touristic activity which they intended to develop there. Therefore, the whole building was endowed with the best conditions of comfort, security and commodity.

The stone walls were restored leaving the typical granite of the region visible, also permiting full isolation of the interiors in order to achieve the best comfort and commodity. The exterior space is carefully gardened, having hidden places full of beauty.
