QUINTA DA AGRA - CORRELHÃ, PONTE DE LIMA

Quinta da Agra constitutes a building with foundation previous to the 17th century. A gate made of stone gives access to the two houses restored with good taste and comfort. The owner dedicated 10 years to the sensitive recovery of roofs, guillotine windows, balconies in quarry and leisure retreats, returning them the original architecture.

The house's location, next to Ponte de Lima's equestrian centre and golf course, allows outdoor challenges. It offers the organization of activities, from walks or horse rides, exploring old trails from Roman times, the Santiago de Compostela path, the Lima Valley ecovia, the discovery of the Romanesque temples of Santo Abdão and São Tomé da Correlhã and other vestiges of ancient civilizations of Ribeira-Lima.

On this Farm all of the details were taken care, from the involving area of the house, to the secular olive trees, the picadors and the stables, to the small lakes for the feverous of the fishing.

A 10-year restoration programme was carried out to bring this 17th century farmhouse back to its original architectural splendour and provide maximum comfort. The stone gateway leads to two houses and riding stables. Located close to the River Lima, the property has a swimming pool, gardens and small lakes for fishing.
