MORE INFORMATION

Paço d'Anha is an old manor house in the province of Minho, with a simple but mannerial architecture.

It is named Paço d'Anha because D. António Prior do Crato, who was acclaimed King of Portugal, lodged himself here at the time he was persecuted by the spanish soldiers in 1580.

Since its history is known, this means 400 years ago, it belongs to the same family "Agorreta".

The houses wich are registered in "Casa Antigas" are old farming ones, attached to the manor house, with all the characteristics of antiquity, but at the same time with modern confort: electric heating, fireplace and refrigerator. Such houses have ancient furniture adorning them. They have a living-room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen or a "kitchenette".

You can drive till the front door; quietness is complete; only disturbed by the nature sounds and the works in the farm. Privacy is complete. If guests want, they can go in and out with all discreption because the houses have their own entrances.

Guests can visit the vineyards and the cellers of the famous VINHO VERDE "PAÇO D'ANHA"; they can enjoy themselves in the wood, tennis, big pond and stone tables for an afternoon snack.
