CASA DO CORREIO-MOR - PONTE DA BARCA

Correio-Mor is a 17th century magnificent and welcoming manor house, located in the historic centre of the medieval town of Ponte da Barca, with a delightful view over the Lima valley, at the gateway of the Peneda-Gerês National Park.

Casa do Correio-Mor took its name after being the set of the Head Postmaster. The present owners, descendants of the original founder of the Lacerda family, have restored the house to open the doors to Turismo de Habitação, refurbishing it with excellent taste and retaining its traditional atmosphere and architectural charm. Though guest rooms are spacious and decorated in Minho style here you may find a home from home.

Within this enchanting environment guests may enjoy the various terraces and expansive lawn. The pleasure of music and poetry are part of its rich and friendly cultural ambiance. Wine tasting is available and the gardens offer a pleasant stroll.
