CASAS DA PEDRALVA - ALDEIA DA PEDRALVA, VILA DO BISPO
Casas da Pedralva are a rare and unique restoration project of an entire rural village in the Algarve. Situated at Vila do Bispo, in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, the Pedralva village comprises 24 rebuilt country houses, each poetically named after the most beautiful beaches of this region.
From its 200 inhabitants, in the last decade only 7 remained, and most of the houses were completely abandoned and deteriorated.
Aldeia da Pedralva was just ruined houses on a magnificent land that became what it is today thanks to António Ferreira when he discovered this hidden paradise and rewrote the history of Aldeia da Pedralva, rebuilding it with love and dedication.
This is a passionate project shared by friends and families that follow closely all the renovation activities so they can be certain that they will result on a typical Portuguese village, environment friendly and able to be used for sustainable tourism.
